I have a simple yet rather powerful testimony to share! On tues, prior to HopeKids retreat, i knock off from Air Force School and just as I was stepping out of the main gate, I saw the bus and I ran after it so as not to be late for the retreat. I didn't realise i'd lost my card until i've decided to alight just a few bus stops away to take cab as I was running late.
I was puzzled and anxious about my lost card as I know that the consequences are going to be serious (fine S$50 and disciplinary action). I had no choice but to take a bus back to Air Force School to begin my search. I tracked back the path that I took and kept looking down at the ground (one might mistaken me as hunting for gold!) My best guess was the path where i ran to chase the bus.
Search as i might but my efforts was in vain. In the midst of anxiousness, I was rather calm and peaceful as I trusted God. I believed that God was teaching me a lesson about unconditional trust. I went ahead to the retreat with a happy, open and a celebrating heart, trying not to think about the lost pass.
The next morning, I went back to Air Force School to submit the police report to my Warrant Officer, just then he grin at me and took out the pass that i've lost! He said that the Regimental Police (RP) in our Air Force School returned to him as someone had found it. Immediately, I was delighted (but didn't dare to show it all out) and all was paid off trusting unconditionally in God in the midst of storm! He said that I do not have to pay the fine but he told me to prepare myself as I might be facing some disciplinary action, hopefully it won't be too major.
Some stuffs I've learnt from this incident:
1. Not to chase after a bus but after God
2. Be still in the midst of storm
3. Trust God wholeheartedly and unconditionally! (afterall, you don't have much choice, 'cos He knows where your lost stuffs are!)
Hope you've learnt something from this incident too! Praise God in all circumstances! Rejoice in the midst of chaos!
