Psalm 1Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.
Not so the wicked!
They are like chaff
that the wind blows away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked will perish.Just a little update about myself! I'm presently doing QT on the Book of Psalms (I reallie love Psalms, the words are so beautiful as described by King David!).
And I'd learnt that in this world, we must either choose to be the righteous, or the wicked. Like how typical story goes, the wicked can NEVER succeed. They will tremble and fall!
Just like how God portray it as! "Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous." The good cannot blend with the evil and bad cannot co-exist with good.
And of cos, I would very much like to succeed in my life! And yes! I'll obey God by choosing the righteous because He watches over me, and protects me! And I will NEVER fall with His guidance!
At first, I didn't know what's the meaning of "chaff", but I realised from the dictionary that it is actually the seed casings and other inedible plant matter harvested with cereal grains such as wheat or rice, removed during threshing. It is unwanted and just like what God says, it is blown away. Surely! I wouldn't want to be evil as I do not want to be "blown away" by God!
I really thank God for his presence in my heart and life, I'm so so so so so VERY fortunate to have Him as my Lord, Saviour and a friend whom I can communicate with anytime and anywhere! Better than anyone you've known! Man fails, but God will never fail us!
And who'll say AMEN to that?!
